Islam and Human Rights by Sir Mohammad Zafrullah Khan
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 10, 1948 embodies the broadest consensus of contemporary civilisation on the subject of Human Rights. The booklet attempts a compartive study of Islam and The Declaration. The presentation of Islamic values is based almost entirely upon the Holy Quran and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet of Islam, the two most authentic and authoritative sources available for the purpose. The references to the Holy Quran are cited in the text; all other references are added in the footnotes.
